What causes the DC motor
not to start?
1.Power is missing
Conditions that may be present: For example, the power switch is not closed, the front fuse is blown, the fuse of the motor main circuit or the control circuit is blown, the contactor and other power control equipment fails, and the line wire is cracked or loose. The processing method is the beginning of the early-stage fuse, and gradually check the wires and equipment of each part of the main circuit and the control circuit of the motor to find out the cause and correct it.
2. Motor problems
Possibly present conditions: severe brush wear, jamming, insufficient spring pressure, etc. make the brush and commutator poor contact; the armature winding is disconnected; the field winding is disconnected and there is no residual magnetism. The processing method is to disconnect the power supply, and check the contact resistance between the brush and the commutator with the resistance file of the multimeter, and the resistance at both ends of each winding. If the resistance value is too large to indicate the existence of the problem, look further and find the breakpoint to correct it.
3. Mechanical problems
The mechanical equipment or transmission organization of the motor is stuck, and the starting load is too heavy. At this point, you should quickly remove the power supply and look for mechanical problems.
